Health And Saftey
No one comes to work to get hurt! So, at Asphalt Products, taking responsibility for safety is everybody's responsibility. We owe it to ourselves and our colleagues, families and the public.
At strategic level, we see promoting and protecting health and safety as a key business objective - which is why our Managing Director drives policy in this all important area.
With the Covid-19 pandemic upon us, strong policy and procedures are not enough. We have to put greater effort into promoting leadership on safety at all levels and a culture of safety-aware behaviour.
Plant And Equipment
The Asphalt Products Plant and Equipment Division supports and maintains plant, equipment and machinery to the highest standards.
The fleet includes:
- Earthmoving equipment such as excavators, graders and tippers
- Bulk aggregate haulage with tipper trailers
- Mobilisation of plant & equipment with lowbed trailers
- Spray and chip surfacing with bitumen distributors and chipspreaders
- Hot asphalt surfacing with pavers and steel drum rollers
- Manufacture of hot and cold asphalt
- Manufacture of bitumen emulsions
- Bulk bitumen storage, heating and transport with bitumen tankers
- Bitumen drum decanting services
